Paul Edwards

Hi! I'm Paul, a mature student in the first year of the MBChB programme. Previously I studied neuroscience, also at Bristol, and in my spare time I enjoy climbing, reading, video games and riding my motorbikes!

Bex Miller

Hi, I'm Bex and I'm a Year 1 course rep. In my free time I'm very active and when not working or seeing friends, will most likely be found at the gym. I love climbing and ice skating, and can't wait for everything to re-open again!

Sophie Liu

Hello, my name is Sophie and I’m a first year student. Before coming to Bristol, I studied health sciences at McMaster University in Canada. Outside of medicine, I enjoy traveling, trying out different cuisines, and jogging. 

Taya Jupe

Ellie Harrison

Hello! My name is Ellie and I’m a first year student. Last year I did the Gateway to Medicine course at Bristol, and before that I taught English in Spain for a year! In my spare time I try not to let my Spanish language disappear completely, and still enjoy salsa dancing… although I do miss the Tortilla and Sangria!!

Amy O'Reilly

Hi, I'm Amy and I'm a first year student. Outside of medicine you would usually find me with my horses, although I am also a keen runner, I love to travel and to cook. I'm always free to have a chat so please don't hesitate to get in touch!

Aashna Bali

Hi, I'm Aashna and this is my second year as a course representative. I am so grateful to be enjoying all the experiences of studying and living in Bristol. Jemi Maliyil

Hi, I’m Jemi! I’m 20 and I’m from Lincolnshire. I’m a second year course rep but I’m also on the committee for Medics Dance, Medics Rewind and the Cardiothoracic Surgery Society. In my free time, I sing and try to learn French. Feel free to drop me a message anytime! 

Adharsh Kennedy Ganesh

Hi everyone, I'm a second year course rep. I'm an international student from Canada. If you've ever got any questions or concerns, I will be sure to do what I can to help! I like to play cricket and tennis, I'd also never turn down a nice hike through the woods. I'm on the medics cricket team and spend most evenings going on a walk to a different part of the city, so if you're ever interested in either of those activities feel free to reach out!

Hi I'm Lily, i'm a 3rd year about to start placement at the BRI , I really enjoy playing in the medics football team and I also play the violin in some of the orchestras at the university. Izzy Burridge

Hiya I'm Izzy. A bit about me - I enjoy being outdoors, running, hiking, camping, that kind of thing, as well as baking and board games. I wanted to be a course rep to ensure the opinions of my year group are heard by the medical school, and do my best to make a positive change, especially during this really difficult time. I'm placed in Gloucester from February so if you want tot get in touch, find me there or dm me!

Ayesha Abbas

Hi! I'm Ayesha and I'm a third year who was on placement in Bath for the first term, and will be moving on to Weston from the end of January. I love to train and teach Taekwon-do (although this is something I mostly do when I'm back in London.) I also really love food and talking, so if you ever want a chat about anything or need any help, drop me a message any time (preferably before 9pm as thats when I sleep.)

Avani Shanbhag

Hi I'm Avani and I'm one of the course reps this year. I'll be starting my placement in Southmead soon and am planning on intercalating next year. In my spare time, I love to dance and listen to music and over lockdown I've been getting up to lots of cooking, and eating. Hi everyone, I'm Mariam! I am a 3rd year course rep and here to hear you out on feedback you have on the course. I'm at Southmead for the rest of term and looking forward to all the weird and wonderful experiences ahead. I love cooking and baking, my favourite cuisine changes week to week and is currently Middle Eastern food. Hi! My name is Ro and I am the course rep for the functional and clinical anatomy intercalation. I am intercalating externally following four years as an Exeter medical student and am loving Bristol! In my spare time I love to dance, run and cycle.

Hi I'm Jo. I'm currently on placement in Bath and will be at Southmead next. In my spare time I enjoy running, Ju Juitsu (when not socially distancing!) and walking my dog. I'm always happy to have a chat about the course or about life in general.

Hi, I'm Jack! I'm one of your Y4 Course Reps and have been a Course Rep since first year so am passionate about student representation and ensuring that you have a say in how the Medical School is run. In my spare time I play a bit of rugby and Gaelic football, do some drama and love a good book!
