Contacts for Advice
Problems with the Course
A problem that may affect your participation in the course can be discussed with the Clinical and Pre-clinical Deans. Tim Lovell and Geoff Clarke have a good deal of experience with all sorts of issues affecting us students, both personal and academic.
Make an appointment with your year administrator to go and see them. You may find administration staff either in the centre for Medical Education (39-41 St Michael’s Hill), and the academies extremely helpful and approachable for more minor issues. The student adviser Ros Forge is of course available to talk through problems with the course.

Whether it’s impartial advice, reassurance or just a sympathetic ear, we’ll try to provide it or point you in the direction of someone more appropriate. You can email us (anonymously if you like) at welfare@galenicals.org.uk. All correspondence will, of course, be totally confidential.

Complaints and Concerns
If you feel that any of your undergraduate, or clinical teaching is sub-standard see the appropriate Dean. They will take your complaint seriously.
It is unacceptable that you should be made to feel harassed, bullied or victimised by a member of hospital or university staff. Should you experience any such deplorable treatment do not hesitate to report it to me, Galenicals Welfare, or directly to the appropriate Dean. All complaints and concerns will be taken seriously. You may raise your concerns anonymously through Galenicals.
