Advice on Obtaining Feedback
In response to student comments about lack of feedback from tutors, Galenicals have raised this issue in a number of meetings with the faculty.
One of the key things to come out of this is that there is a gradual shift in attitude throughout the clinical years away from ‘just wanting to pass exams’, to becoming more interested that our clinical competencies and knowledge are sufficient for the looming foundation years.
As part of this, we have therefore been asked to advise students to be confident in asking doctors to provide feedback when being supervised or during bedside teaching, as sometimes the doctors just forget.
If you have had any problems feel free to let Galenicals know.
