New Galenicals President

603 medical students voted in the election and we can now announce that galenicals president for 2011-2012 is Harriet Kiddy. Further details regarding the committee elections will be posted in due course.

Harriet Kiddy

I’m Harriet and I want to be your Galenicals President. In my four years at medical school I have taken an active role in both Galenicals and University societies. I have been 2nd team and vice club captain of the University ladies hockey club, sat on various Galenicals committees including CPRiS, CLIC and Marrow, as well as being the current third year Ents rep. I have enjoyed this involvement and am now keen to have a more direct influence within the medical school. If elected I would stand for the issues that are important to you, especially:

  • Providing information and support to students regarding the upcoming MTAS reforms
  • Expanding Galenicals welfare to include a clinician-led mentor scheme
  • Protecting student interests in the University imposed budget cuts

I am organised and sociable and hope to be given the opportunity to represent you next year!
