Operation Wallacea will be coming to Bristol University on Thursday 22nd October at 1pm to give a presentation on scientific conservation projects in the tropics.

Presenting in: Lecture Theatre B74

Operation Wallacea was established in 1995 SE Sulawesi, Indonesia. Along with our continued work in Indonesia we have since set up and managed projects for academics, university volunteers and general surveyors in: Honduras, Cuba, Peru, South Africa, Mozambique, Egypt and new for 2010, Madagascar. We have a huge range of dissertation placements and research positions available (see www.opwall.com) for summer 2010.

If you are at all interested in trekking through the rainforests of Indonesia, spotting Tapir poo in Honduras, completing bird counts with Macaws in Peru, assisting with the manatee projects in Cuba, diving with 30m visibility in the red sea, Egypt, surveying on our brand new project in Madagascar or tracking wild dogs in South Africa then please come along to our presentation. Our leaflets and posters should be all around your campus (if not please let us know and we’ll send you some) and it would be great to have you come and find out what this is all about, more importantly how you can get involved in all this!

Take care and hopefully we’ll get to meet you soon,
