Are you interested in attending the annual Medical Students Conference?

Every year the Medical Students Committee (MSC) organises a conference to which BMA members from all of the UK medical schools are invited to attend. The main aim of the conference is to provide a forum to discuss general and specific issues affecting medical students and to pass motions based on these debates.

This year the conference will take place on Friday the 9th and Saturday the 10th of April at York University. Accommodation for the night of the 9th and all meals will be provided. Travel fees will also be reimbursed.

If you are interested in attending, please contact Sophie Layen (MSC rep) at bma@galenicals.org.uk for an application form. The deadline for applications is Friday 18th December 09.

ALSO! Bristol Medical School can submit up to 6 motions for conference. These are formal proposals that students feel should be considered by the MSC. In the past, motions from Bristol have been about teaching students ‘how to teach’, the climate change act, parking fees for students at hospital placements, and intercalation options. If you have any suggestions, please email bma@galenicals.org.uk.
