Bristol University has a flourishing drama department with a number of acting and performance societies, in which many medics take part. In addition to this, we also put on our own in-house productions every year, including:

  • Pre-Clinical Revue (March)
  • Clinical Revue (March)
  • Clicendales (March)
  • Medics Drama (February)

It’s a brilliant way to make friends and meet students in other years and most medics end up get involved with a show or two during their time at Bristol.

There’s always opportunities to get something new going, too, so if you’re interested in writing or direction, keep your eye on the emails.

About the Shows

  • Pre-Clinical Revue (March)
A satirical look at life and learning in the first few years of medical school.
  • Clinical Revue (March)
As with the preclinical revue, this is an opportunity to hit back at some of the lecturers and the more ridiculous aspects of clinical medicine.
  • Clicendales (March)
The famously successful medic dance and strip show at the O2 academy, all in aid of CLIC Sargent
  • Medics Drama (February)
In 2010, the newly formed Medics Drama group will present ‘Fractures’ – new and exciting performance designed to showcase the best of directing, acting, staging etc. in the medical school. This year it will consist of four short scenes from plays carrying a medical message, directed and performed exclusively by medical students.
