Galenicals Chamber Orchestra

The Galenicals Orchestra is composed of Bristol University Medics (along with a small number of non-medics) and aims to be a fun and social group which also plays music to a reasonably high standard whilst fitting rehearsals around Medics’ hectic work schedules. Last year music included Fauré’s requiem, and Gregson’s trumpet concerto.  The selection for next year is likely to include a Beethoven symphony (probably 3 or 7), a Mendelssohn symphony (most likely 3) or Schubert’s 4th symphony and various concert overtures (Fingal’s Cave, Coriolan, Overture to the Creatures of Prometheus). Please get in touch if you have any suggestions though. Look forward to seeing you in October!

Manager: Abi Teague

Conductor: Michael Robson-Kieren
