Careers Job Description

The careers rep needs to work closely with the faculty to inform and update students on the current foundation application process and any changes that occur.

This year the faculty have agreed to implement a careers programme, running as a vertical theme throughout all the years. The bulk of next year’s rep will be liaising with the faculty to ensure that this programme is implemented properly.

Other things that you are involved with the job:

• Organising careers evenings for students.
• Working with the BMA Reps to find out about changes to Foundation applications.
• Informing students about any changes to the Foundation application process.
• Raising awareness of Academic Medicine and the Academic Foundation programme.

This role is good fun and very informative – you will be very prepared for the job applications yourself by the end of the year!
